New Gardens is the second phase of a three-phase redevelopment of the Wesley Des Moines Campus, a senior and assisted living community with a beautifully landscaped 42-acre campus. The 312,000 SF project included 151 high-end senior living apartments along with a three-story Town Center with a commercial kitchen, a chapel, dining rooms, and other amenities for residents on campus. The project required infrastructure updates to the campus that included partial decommissioning of old utilities while maintaining services to other structures on campus. WALSH planned for future utility connections and completed the scope early, saving the owner money. Phase I included over 200 units of new housing and services, also constructed by our teams.
