Originally known as the Eastside Health Center; Blackburn Medical Center is part of the “Housing is Health” initiative in partnership with Central City Concern (CCC) and six local health organizations to provide supportive, affordable housing. Designed by Ankrom Moisan Architects, Inc., the six-story integrated housing and clinical services building focuses on recovery and mental health services, with some targeted primary care services. The Blackburn Medical Center, named after former CCC President Ed Blackburn, includes affordable housing, healthcare facilities, a pharmacy, and commercial retail space. The clinic serves about 3,000 patients annually.
